Protecting infants and toddlers from domestic violence: Development of a diagnostic protocol for infant and toddler abuse and neglect and its implementation to the public health system.

A Training Seminar for first line Health and Social Welfare Professionals on the “Pilot Implementation of the first draft of the Screening Tool for identifying Families at risk of Infant and Toddler Abuse and Neglect” was held on the 31^st of May 2014 in the Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital in Athens, Greece by the Department of Mental Health and Social Welfare, Institute of Child Health (ICH).  Number 35 social workers, health visitors, psychologists, pediatricians and nurses participated. Two more Collaboration Meetings with the ICH’s research team will be held in order for the professionals to give their feedback from the pilot application of the draft Screening tool.

Εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο για Επαγγελματίες πρώτης γραμμής σχετικά με την "Πιλοτική Εφαρμογή του πρώτου προσχεδίου του Εργαλείου Ανίχνευσης Οικογενειών με Βρέφη και Νήπια σε Πιθανό Κίνδυνο για Κακοποίηση - Παραμέληση" πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 31 Μαΐου 2014 στο Νοσοκομείο Παίδων "Αγία Σοφία", στην Αθήνα, από τη Δ/νση Ψυχικής Υγείας και Κοινωνικής Πρόνοιας του Ινστιτούτου Υγείας του Παιδιού (ΙΥΠ). Συμμετείχαν 35 Επαγγελματίες μεταξύ των οποίων κοινωνικοί λειτουργοί, επισκέπτες υγείας, ψυχολόγοι, παιδίατροι και νοσοκόμες. Αναμένεται να πραγματοποιηθούν δύο ακόμα συναντήσεις με την υπεύθυνη ερευνητική ομάδα του Προγράμματος και Επαγγελματίες από συνεργαζόμενους φορείς, με απώτερο στόχο την παροχή ανατροφοδότησης σχετικά με την πιλοτική εφαρμογή του πρώτου προσχεδίου του Εργαλείου Ανίχνευσης.
